I had such a great swim today. I felt good and fast and I pushed myself more than I have in a while. I swam just over 2000 meters and did some speed work. I even felt a few times like I was my old fast swimming self. I’ve missed that self.
I think I have been slacking in the swimming department a little lately. As I’ve mentioned, swimming is my strong suit so I haven’t been feeling nervous about the swim portion of the triathlon at all. I’ve never compete in an open water swim and I know the start of triathlon races can be tough (full of hitting and being swum over and all that) but I really don’t feel too worried about it.
I’ve been using this video as an instructional training video.
In terms of the swim, I think I can be under 15 minutes for it. I’d be pretty pleased if I was at 12-13 minutes.
Just about a month a way! Getting excited.
