The road bike has been dropped off at a bike store to get new tires, a tune up, new pedals and a few other bits and pieces taken care of. I should get it back on Monday and hopefully it will be about $120 when it is all said and done (a lot, but not bad when you consider we paid $30 for the bike).
So, next week I’ll start practicing on a road bike, which seems impossibly skinny to me compared to my mountain bike. I’m a bit afraid of tipping over.
Hopefully, even counting in time to tip over, I should be faster on the road bike. Maybe I’ll even crack double digits for my mph average.
