Odds and Ends

So, I am working an a bigger entry, but it is about something semi-painful for me, so it is taking a bit longer than usual.

Till then, a few updates:

I have my January race picked out: another 5K on the 23rd. I’d like to have a bit more race diversity, but January in Iowa doesn’t have a lot going on especially if you don’t have snow shoes or cross-country skis.  I don’t think I’ll PR after having such a sloth filled December but hopefully I’ll be able to run the whole thing. I feel like I am semi-starting from scratch with the running again (though it is a little easier this time around).

February is probably going to be an indoor tri, which could be lots of fun.

Kettlebell follow-up: It took almost 3 days to stop feeling sore. I’m going to do the DVD again tonight or tomorrow, hopefully with a 5 pound weight this time. We’ll see how the soreness goes the second time around.

I am sort of in love with this song right now, but I’m not sure I really know what it is about. Anyone have a theory?

    I started using kettlebells recently and I’ve found I much prefer them to dumbbells. My trainer prefers them too. I think you’re on the right track.
