The Weekend

Oh, hello Friday! Please come here so I can kiss you right on the mouth.

It looks to be a beautiful fall weekend and I am looking forward (I guess?) to doing a long run/walk tomorrow and then watching tons of football on Saturday and Sunday. We’ll also be going back to here:

so the child can do more of this:

My darling husband has an appointment to get his eyes checked, which will probably lead to new glasses and my prediction is that he is going to want something that looks like this:

I may get fancy and do some baking, maybe something with pumpkin in it to celebrate the fall.

What are you doing this weekend?

Shopping for new glasses (I am going to have to have the tech pick out some frames for me to choose from, I am hopeless) and searching for a slice of really awesome pumpkin cheesecake. And I’m not stalking you, but can you please reassure me you don’t live in the area where people keep getting shot?!?!?

@BookWorm: That sounds like fun! I bet my kiddo would like a trip to an orchard. That is like a perfect fall activity.

@Gretchen, no worries, I don’t think we are very close to the shooting areas (at least a couple of miles away I think). We’re in kind of a transitional area but on the nicer side of that transition. Good luck with the glasses and the cheesecake. Yum.

I’m headed to a “Douchebag/Jersey Shore” costume party. While I love dressing up, “douchebag” is not my preferred costume choice. Nor do I feel young enough to attend a costume party.

Instead, I will be wearing white pants and a garbage bag…an actual douchebag seems more awesome than dressing as The Situation.

Oh my, that is funny. I don’t think there is enough self-tanner in the world to make me look Jersey Shore enough so I’d probably have to do douchebag as well. Maybe a polo shirt with a popped collar and shorts hanging below my ass… that seems to be the preferred look of the college age douchebag (a population that 10 years of working in higher ed has made me all to familiar with)
