Quitter

A few updates, mostly of the slacker variety:

1. I’m quitting the whole 30 days of truth thing. I kind of feel bored by some of the topics and I am many day behind, so I quit. If there are any of the topics that you’d like me to write about (behold as I flatter myself, thinking you care) leave me a comment and I’ll do it.

2. I’m not quitting NaNoWriMo as much as I am acknowledging that there is really no way in hell that I’ll be able to get 50,000 words in by the end of the month. I am way, way, way behind. My husband however is kicking ass and will almost certainly make, if not exceed, the 50,000 word quota. Go him. I *love* the idea he has for his story so I’m hoping I’ll get to read the finished product.

3. I will not be doing a race in November, so good thing I doubled up in October. Now I need to find something in December that is A)short as I have let myself get lazy this month and B) close to home because I know the snow is coming and I have some winter driving anxiety issues (I am from Arizona, after all).

We’re going to be having a very low-key Thanksgiving this year and I wish all of you rest, relaxation, yummy food and safe travels.

We are having a low-key Thanksgiving, too, and I’m OK with that. We are also watching an extra dog which is not going as OK as I’d like, but we’ll deal. That’s part of the reason it’s a low-key Thanksgiving!

    Good for you!
I’ve always said I’d rather be a quitter than a failure, but I’m not sure I like either option. In any case, it’s always good to take time to do the things that are most important to you. If 30 days bores you, write about what inspires.

Good luck! NaNoWriMo is intense 🙂
