Sunday Bowling Sunday

So, a few months back Mr.Monkey and I were watching a football pre-game show on ESPN and after it was over Mr.Monkey didn’t change the channel to the actual game right away and, to my kiddo’s delight, the most amazing thing came on: professional bowling.

Now, the kid loves watching sports of all kinds. He yells “Goooooalll!” at soccer, throws up his arms up and yells “touchdown!” during football and seriously watches more ESPN than Disney. So I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised at his love of bowling but I kind of was. Who would think a two year old would want to watch the 1974 Midas Invitational on ESPN Classic?

It didn’t take long for the love of bowling to move from watching to doing. I gave him a few empty water bottle and he found his basketball and now he bowls daily, sometimes it is the first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning and it is almost always the thing he wants to do as soon as he gets home from daycare.

Behold the joy:
