I am home today with a sick little monkey. Surprisingly, this sickness is of the cold variety and not of the too much candy variety even though last night was his first real trick-or-treating experience (Iowa is weird. We do “Beggar’s Night” before Halloween). He LOVED trick-or-treating. He doesn’t seem to care that much about the candy part, he was really into the acquisition part. There was a lot of thrilled shrieking at getting strangers to put candy in his little pumpkin bucket.
So I am home today and finally got around to getting all of fall’s pictures off the camera. Halloween always feels like the end of fall to me as November in Iowa means snow and Thanksgiving are coming soon. It has been an intense in some ways but good fall. Here’s what we’ve been up to since summer ended:
The kiddo had his first day of school in the Apple room. Man does he love the Apple room:
We (Mama, Dada and a helper monkey) all worked with the kid on the whole potty training thing
We did some traditional fall things like hit the pumpkin patch and apple orchard
And, of course, we celebrated Halloween
Do you get people coming up to you all the time asking if you’d be interested in letting your kid do some modelling? He is So Gorgeous!!
Oh, gosh, that is so nice to say! I think he is pretty cute too but sadly no modeling offers coming our way. Maybe Des Moines isn’t the hot bed of child model agents.
